A pūteketeke, the Australasian crested grebe, with its black double crest raised over a chestnut ruff and a white neck. Found across Australia and in New Zealand, mostly on the South Island, where pairs court each other with a mirrored dance.
Material and embroidery
100% ring-spun cotton at 207 g/m², garment-dyed. Double-needle topstitched collar, twill-taped neck and shoulders, and double-needle hems. Machine embroidered at the centre of the chest in 4 thread colours, about 9 cm across. An original design drawn by Birds by miniblank.
Shipping and replacements
Shipping is free and tracked. The carrier may collect import tax or clearance fees on delivery. If your piece arrives damaged, defective, with a production error or as the wrong item, write to us within 14 days of delivery with a clear photo and we will send a replacement or refund you.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out; no bleach; hang to dry; do not iron over the embroidery.
