Our story
Wear the birds you watch
Birders know a bird by its marks: the hoopoe’s crest and its wings barred black and white, the bee-eater’s blue throat, the galah’s pink and grey, the kingfisher’s orange breast under a blue back. We drew 34 birds true to their species, from Arabia and the Levant to Australia, Africa, Asia and the Americas, and embroidered each one in its own colours, as simple shapes in a few threads so the stitching comes out clean.

It starts with the hats: shop the hats.
Six sets
Arabia and the Levant: the hoopoe, the yellow-vented bulbul, the green bee-eater, the Arabian sunbird, the greater flamingo and the crab plover. Pigeons: the homing pigeon, the fantail pigeon, the common wood pigeon and the laughing dove. Australia and New Zealand: the laughing kookaburra, the galah, the rainbow lorikeet, the kea, the pūteketeke, the superb fairywren, the Gouldian finch, the sulphur-crested cockatoo and the budgerigar. Africa: the lilac-breasted roller, the southern yellow-billed hornbill, the malachite sunbird, the southern carmine bee-eater and the hadeda ibis. Asia: the Taiwan blue magpie, the common kingfisher, the Himalayan monal, the Indian roller and the rose-ringed parakeet. The Americas: the Andean cock-of-the-rock, the resplendent quetzal, the ruby-throated hummingbird, the common loon and the scarlet macaw. Shop Arabia and the Levant, Pigeons, Australia and New Zealand, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
The Field Guide
The Field Guide tee: every bird in the collection drawn and named in English and Arabic, set out across the back like a page from a field guide, with the logo small on the chest. It is the one printed piece, in dark colours only. See the Field Guide.
Embroidered in thread
Every bird is machine embroidered in coloured thread: on the front of a cap or a bucket hat, on the folded cuff of a beanie, at the centre of the chest of a heavyweight tee, a crewneck or a hoodie, or on the front of a cotton tote: 34 embroidered birds on 433 pieces. The one printed piece is the Field Guide tee. See the designs.
